Fall Trainings for All!

Fall Trainings for All!

We might have a couple of seats left at our Honor Society and our Student Council Advisers' Workshops! But call and see, as we are topping off soon, 517-327-5315 (ask for Kay or Angel):

October 6, Honor Society Advisers Workshop

October 7, Student Council Advisers Workshop

Then for students, we start October 24th with our Fall Training Institutes and we are going EVERYWHERE! From Cheboygan County to the Grand Rapids area to Frankenmtuh (again and again and again) and down to Ann Arbor, there is a conference somewhere near you! See our full listing of dates and learn more about our Fall Training Institutes on our website.

1 for 100 Challenge

1 for 100 Challenge

Is your school up for a challenge this year? We're looking for 100 member schools to push their students to raise $1 per student enrolled. Add up that many dollars and we're sure to make an impact at Penrickton Center for Blind Children!

A Special Visitor to Penrickton

A Special Visitor to Penrickton

On a Monday night in September, the children at Penrickton Center for the Blind, our Charity of the Year for 2008-09, had a special visitor, Rosie. Rosie is big enough to carry any of our children with ease, she is a good listener; she has lots of brown hair but likes to swish her tail!

Share Your Stuff

Share Your Stuff

It's never too early to plan ahead and so we're looking for advisers now to share ideas, resources, projects and plans with other advisers. If you have one good idea or five, we would love to have you share it! Our Annual State Advisers' Conference is January 29-30, 2009, and we want YOU! Learn more about the variety of presentation options available, so whether you're always up front or more of a casual conversationalist, we have a presentation option to fit your style. Any idea is a good one, and we've even provided a list of requested topics for you to browse.

You Get What You Need (Plus Some!), They Get What They Want

You Get What You Need (Plus Some!), They Get What They Want

On January 29, 2009, you will have a whole new way of connecting with the companies and speakers you need, plus you might have some extra dough in your pocket! During the Annual Advisers Conference, we will be launching our new MASSP Student Leadership Virtual Exhibit Showcase! Instead of being a one-time, had-to-be-there show, our Virtual Exhibit will be up all year, every day, all day. You can access it at YOUR convenience and get the information you want when you need it. I know that sounds good enough, but we wanted to sweeten the deal... If a company you refer exhibits in our Virtual Exhibit, YOU will earn $25 for yourself or your school. No gimmicks, tricks or crazy gift cards, just a cold, hard check to cash. Learn more about our Virtual Exhibit , how it works, and how you can benefit in more ways than one!

Are You Green?

Are You Green?

If you're Kermit the Frog you are, or if your school has taken great steps on becoming environmentally aware, then you are also green! And we want to know about it! We're looking to hold a conference at a "green" school so we can not only highlight what your school is doing but share tips and ideas with other schools on how they become green themselves. It's not just a trend - it's our future!

Is your school green? Email Kadi and let her know if your school is interested in hosting a conference at your building!

Rock the Vote!

Rock the Vote!

Are you 18, or know students that are? Register to vote! Are you 16, or know students that are? You can be a part of this year's election, too! A Resolution was released on September 9, 2008. School districts throughout Michigan are encouraged to make sure all students 16 and above are aware of how they can be a part of the Presidential Election coming this November.
