Keep the Spirit Coming - School Spirit All Year Long!

Keep the Spirit Coming - School Spirit All Year Long!

It almost always happens this time of year; exams are coming, the holiday buzz is still present, and Senioritis is really kicking in (even for underclassmen). But that does not mean that we can’t keep the spirit coming.

The beginning of the year is always filled with events from fundraising to Homecoming and everything in between, and the end of the year has its time when everything comes to a close and Senior events and year end dances dominant the schedule. But everyone seems to forget those long months in between and the school spirit always seems to lack during those trying months.
But don’t worry; there are plenty of ways to keep the spirit coming. Think of all the new changes that are coming; after exams semester change comes and things pick up again. With all this change it’s the perfect time to try something new.

Communication and Your School - Student Councils for Student Issues: Bridging the Gap

Let’s be honest, the image of most student councils perceived by the student body isn’t what we would like it to be. Many students feel that the council’s primary objective is to set up homecoming week, and maybe they are right. Student councils spend a large majority of the time preparing for homecoming week, making it probably one of their top priorities for the year. But is what many forget is that councils are also responsible for handling student issues.
